KIOO stores saved meeting recordings, transcripts, briefs, tags and generated drafts locally in its macOS application container. There is no KIOO cloud account or automatic KIOO meeting library sync in this beta.
Current builds encrypt saved meeting records and recordings on this Mac, with encryption keys held in the app’s Keychain. Exported, copied or shared files are separate copies; their protection depends on where you save or send them. Keep your Mac secured and FileVault enabled where appropriate.
How your words are processed.
Current TestFlight builds use Apple’s on-device Foundation Models for live questions and AI meeting debriefs. These features need a compatible Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 26 or later, with Apple Intelligence enabled and its models downloaded. These builds do not use OpenAI or Private Cloud Compute, do not require an AI API key, and ignore previously saved cloud-provider preferences.
KIOO can transcribe with Apple Speech or, on supported Apple-silicon Macs, the optional Nemotron model. Apple’s speech services may process audio depending on your macOS version, language and recognition availability; Apple Speech is not guaranteed to work offline. If you choose Nemotron, KIOO downloads an approximately 668 MB model file from Hugging Face. Hugging Face may receive ordinary download-request information such as your IP address. Once the model has been downloaded and verified, Nemotron transcribes locally on your Mac; KIOO does not send your meeting audio or transcript to Hugging Face or NVIDIA for this transcription.
If you enable Meeting memory, KIOO can use relevant quoted excerpts from your own locally saved meetings to inform a question. The meeting library is not uploaded to a KIOO server by this feature.
Some earlier beta builds offered an optional OpenAI provider. If you configured and used it in an earlier build, transcript and context excerpts could be sent to that provider under its own terms and privacy practices. Earlier imported provider configuration may remain in the local app container with restricted file permissions; build 203 does not read or use it. Those earlier builds did not provide a dedicated encrypted credential vault.
You choose what to connect.
Microphone access lets you record. Calendar access is optional and helps you see upcoming meetings. Contacts access is optional and supports participant details. You can review or revoke these permissions in macOS System Settings.
Record only conversations you are entitled to record, and make sure participants know when recording is taking place. Review generated text before relying on it or sharing it.
Keep it. Export it. Delete it.
You can revisit and delete saved meetings in Previous meetings. Deleting a saved meeting removes its record and associated app-managed recording. Copies you export or save elsewhere remain in those locations.
Uninstalling the app may leave local application data on your Mac. Contact us if you need help locating or removing that data. We cannot retrieve a meeting that exists only on your device.
Diagnostics, with your choice.
KIOO includes no third-party advertising or analytics SDK and does not track you across apps or websites. Local technical diagnostics are stored in a bounded encrypted file. They are separate from your meetings and are not automatically attached to feedback.
From build 226, Settings → Diagnostics & feedback offers optional automatic reliability reporting. It is off by default. If you enable it, KIOO sends fixed error categories, counts, coarse performance timing ranges, app version/build, development or TestFlight channel, and macOS major/minor version to a KIOO-operated service hosted by Cloudflare. We use these reports to identify failures and improve reliability and performance.
Automatic reports never include audio, transcripts, meeting titles, participant names, calendar notes, generated content, file paths, email addresses or persistent device/user identifiers. Reports have random per-report identifiers used for retry protection and deletion; they are not used to identify you or track you across sessions. We do not combine reports with other data to identify people.
Turn sharing off in Settings at any time. This stops new automatic uploads and clears unsent automatic reports. A request already delivered may remain until deleted or expired. Settings also lets you explicitly send a fixed issue category or insight usefulness rating, even while automatic sharing is off. You can review the included information before sending. Written feedback opens your email app; nothing is sent until you choose to send the email.
Queued reports and deletion receipts are encrypted on your Mac. Unsent reports expire after seven days. Reports in the active service expire within 30 days. Settings → Delete sent diagnostics & reports turns sharing off and requests deletion of reports sent by that installation. Keep KIOO open and online until it confirms deletion. Per-report deletion markers are retained for up to 40 days to prevent a delayed request restoring a deleted report. Cloudflare database recovery copies may retain deleted data for up to 30 additional days. Recovery procedures reapply outstanding deletions before service resumes.
Report transport uses HTTPS. Cloudflare necessarily processes network information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the service. The KIOO reporting code does not retain IP addresses or request logs; short-lived rate limiting protects the endpoint. The reporting database is restricted to the EU, although Cloudflare network processing may occur in other countries under its privacy and security terms. Only authorized KIOO administrators can read stored reports.
Apple manages TestFlight feedback and system crash reporting separately. KIOO’s sharing switch does not change Apple’s reporting settings. If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to include. Please remove private meeting details unless you intend to share them. We use support correspondence to respond and resolve issues, not for advertising.

Cloudflare provides hosting and network services for this website. Requests may include technical information such as your IP address, browser details and requested page so the site can be delivered and protected. This site adds no advertising cookies, analytics scripts or contact-form tracking.
Email sent to hello@kioo.ae is forwarded by Cloudflare to our support inbox. We use enquiries to respond and provide support, retain them only as needed for that purpose and applicable obligations, and do not sell them.
